What is the photographer to model ratio?
We aim for a 3:2 photographer to model ratio. We tend to over-book models in case some are unable to attend at the last minute.
What time can models and photographers begin to arrive?
We will have access to the venue from 7:00AM to sunset on the day of the shoot. You may begin arriving with any models you've booked for a 1 on 1 session at this time.
Will all of the models be available for nude work?
We go to great lengths to let the models know that this is a glamour nude event and that they should be comfortable with that style of shooting. However, models are NEVER compelled to pose nude, and each model may have her own requirements and/or restrictions for this type of work. It is completely up to the models if they wish to shoot nude or not, including during the group sessions.
Will I be able to contact the models before the shoot to discuss availability?
Since this is a more frequent event than the Arizona Shootout, we do not have an area where models can be contacted before the event. We will host a Meet & Greet in Phoenix one week prior to the event where you will be able to discuss projects and shoot ideas with attending models. Photographers are encouraged to attend this event as we will be able to answer any last minute questions you have and you will be able to book models before they are booked up.
How do the group sessions work?
Those who've attended the Arizona Shootout in the past will be very familiar with the format we'll be using. Group shooting will begin at 10:00AM. Models in Group A will be split into smaller groups of 3-6 models and assigned to designated areas of the property where they will be available to photographers. Models will rotate to the next area every 30 minutes until they've been to each designated area. During this time, models in Group B will be available for photographers who prefer more of a 1 on 1 style of shooting, or 10 for $20's. Models in Group B will begin their group session at 1:00 and go untill 3:00.
What are 10 for $20's?
10 for $20's became very popular among both photographers and models at the Arizona Shootout. Photographers who would rather not participate in the group shoots can choose one of the standby models for 10 minutes of 1 on 1 shooting for. Although this has become standard among models, please remember that some models may choose not to participate in this type of shoot and rates may vary from model to model.
What are 1 on 1's?
You will have an opportunity to book a private 1 on 1 shoot with many of the models. 1 on 1's are typically 30 minutes or more and model rates for these types of shoots may vary. Some models may offer pre-booking discounts if you schedule prior to the event.
Can I bring my own model?
To ensure that the models on the roster have maximum opportunity, we have a strict limit on the number of models who can attend. If you have a model who'd like to come to the event, please have her contact us. We may be able to add her depending on the number of photographers who've registered.
Can I bring an assistant?
Due to the nature of this event, we cannot allow non-registered photographers and/or assistants to attend. Assistants must register as a photographer if they'd like to attend. However, there is always someone on hand who will be able to hold reflectors or assist you on your shoots as requested.
What can I use the photos for?
You will be able to use the images from the group shoots for self-promotion and you will be provided with a limited use model release which you are responsible to get signed by each model you work with. If you want to use the images commercially, you would need to provide your own model release and work out the details with each model.
Will I need lighting equipment?
Most of the shooting is planned for outside, but there will be some indoor locations available for shooting, so you might want to bring your favorite softbox, reflector, or other portable lighting. We do not provide lighting equipment for general use.
Is video allowed?
Not all of the models are comfortable with video. Therefore, video is not allowed during the group shooting sessions. However, video is allowed during 1 on 1 sessions with the model's knowledge and consent.
Are beginners welcome?
Yes, our event is a great place to learn about glamour photography. We frequently have workshops, and there are always plenty of great photographers here to answer your questions.
What is your refund policy?
This event will be held rain or shine. There are plenty of indoor areas to use if weather becomes a problem. In the event that you cannot make it to the shoot, you will receive a full refund for requests made within 30 days of purchase. Requests after 30 days will receive a credit towards a future event. In the unlikely event that the shoot is canceled by the organizer due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund.
